Auxiliary verbs

      

     

Auxiliary verbs ( AV ) ( กริยาช่วย )  หมายถึง  กริยาที่บ่งบอกถึงทัศนคติและอารมณ์ของผู้พูดพร้อมกันนั้นยังช่วยเติมเต็มประโยคให้สมบูรณ์ในรูปแบบต่างๆ โดยเฉพาะกับประโยคคำถามและปฏิเสธนั้นจะต้องอาศัยกริยาช่วยทุกครั้งหากไม่มีถือว่าผิด มีทั้งหมด  24  คำ  โดยแบ่งเป็นสองกลุ่ม  ดังนี้

	Verb to be:        is, am, are    (เป็นปัจจุบัน)        was, were     (เป็นอดีต) Verb to do:        do, does       (เป็นปัจจุบัน)        did                (เป็นอดีต) Verb to have:        has, have     (เป็นปัจจุบัน)        had               (เป็นอดีต)		will - shall             (จะ)    would - should     (ควรจะ)    can - could             (สามารถ)    may - might           (อาจ, อาจจะ)    ought to                  (สมควร, ควร)    used to                    (เคย)    must                        (ต้อง)    need                        (จำเป็นต้อง)    dare                        (กล้า)

 

  

 

                            

•  ในกริยาช่วยทั้งหมดนี้มีบางคำที่หน้าที่ได้สองอย่าง  คือ  ทำหน้าที่เป็นได้ทั้งกริยาแท้ (Finite verb) และ กริยาช่วย  (auxiliary verb)  กริยาที่ว่านั่นคือ  Verb to do, have, need, dare  ที่เหลือเป็นกริยาช่วยอย่างเดียว

หลักการใช้กริยาช่วย

             กลุ่มแรกเมื่อนำไปใช้ต้องกระจายรูปทุกครั้ง แต่กลุ่มที่สองไม่ต้องกระจายรูป

                  S +  V1                                            S + AV + V1  

   I          am        a farmer.          I        will      fly  to Paris next week.

  We       are        students.        We     should    study Chinese.

  You      are        hungry.         You   would     help  me do this.

  He         is         a doctor.         He      can         help  sick people.

  She        is         my sister.       She   could   speak Chinese and Japanese.

  They     are        teachers.       They    must     teach  English at school.

  Gary     has        a dog.            Mary   may      come  here.

  Cars      have     4 wheels.       We      might    be  here tonight.

  You      do         exercises.       He       used to    smoke  once.

  She       does      a test.            They   ought to  help her do housework.

     S +  AV + V1 = Ving                        S +  AV + V1 = V3  

  She       is      walking.                    He       has   gone home.

  You     are     talking.                     We      have   eaten dinner.

   I         am      making a list.            You    had   had a car.

   It         is       getting dark.              She     has   been to the bank.

         S +  AV + V1 = V1  

   I         don’t       go to school.

  She    doesn’t    get in the car.

Verb to be:   จะบังคับกริยาช่องที่หนึ่งให้ลง – ing      Verb to do:   จะบังคับกริยาช่องที่หนึ่งให้อยู่ในสภาพเดิม       Verb to have:   จะบังคับกริยาช่องที่หนึ่งให้เป็น V3
